Hi everyone, I have a video doorbell which I recently thought I’d hardwire as kept running out of battery and annoyed me trying to keep charged.
unfortunately ring only seem to do one for doorbell pro, so I resorted to getting compatible from amazon.
doesnt seem however to want to charge battery/power unit properly.
anyone else had similar issues or can recommend an alternative power supply?
Hey @Simpsonator. We do not recommend other power supplies for the Doorbell other than the internal battery itself, connecting it an internal chime kit, or with wiring it directly to a transformer. Any other charger that is not sold by us may not work to charge the device. You can learn more about how to wire the Ring Video Doorbell to a transformer here, as it sounds like you do not have an internal chime kit already installed in the home.
