Just bought a brand new chime and when i run the set up it tells me that there is already an owner
How do i change that
Sounds like you bought a chime that had already been installed by someone else. You should return the unit, it is not brand new.
Ring does not let you install an already installed device, and for good reason . . . to discourage theft.

My old digital doorbell had a diode in it, so I installed the diode in the Ring 2. Now, I have the Ring chime outside and my old synchronized melody inside. Should I disable the Ring chime, or remove the diode
