Chime does not sense motion

Brand new Chime. Motion is not triggering it. Ring Doorbell 2 works fine. Tried with Ring button enabled or disabled. Button push works, motion triggers sounds on both of our iPhones but not the Chime. Even tried different Chime tones which work fine for bell button pushes. RSSI is 55, WiFi modem is 20 ft away in line of sight. Firmware is “Up To Date”. Snooze is off. Help please.

Hey @Sile! You may just need to now link the Chime to go off when motion is detected at your doorbell. Follow these steps here:

  • Open your Ring app and go to the main menu at the top left

  • Select Devices

  • Select your Ring Video Doorbell 2

  • Select Linked Chimes

  • Select Motion Detected and then make sure to click on the little music note under your Chime’s name
