Cannot change Chime ringtone

This problem is not solved, as far as I am concerned. Please change the status.

@Starbursts If you go to the solution that has been marked, I have stated that we have marked it as the solution for now as we wait for more updates on this. Same problem here. Yes, tried all resets. Tried from both Android and Iphone. Devs need to fix this.

I have the same problem. Wasted two hours before I got to someone who actually knew this was a known problem. How is it only the escalation department knows anything. Three different customer service people took forever to understand my problem. Repeatedly asking me things I already said and giving dumb answers. Telling to reset chime, delete app etc. for no reason as I had already done all and told them. Then they said they would send me a new ring. Why? It is obviously a problem on your end as both chimes etc are doing the same thing exactly at the same time. It was like talking to people reading from a book with no personal knowledge of ring devices. Why do you not tell all your service people about this issue and stop wasting your customer’s time. Finally after demanding to talk to a supervisor and waiting 20 minutes while she talked to the escalation department I was told I would be contacted 24-48 hours with an update. Never happened. Terrible customer service. Really liked the Ring until now. Wish I got something different.

Any updates on this?? Still can’t change for the ring tone I want!

This is maddening. I have Halloween upstairs and Christmas downstairs.

I cannot update my tones on chime. Currently stuck on “Spooky Organs” ha ha. Its driving wife crazy. Ring sent me a new chime and same issue. Spent hours on phone with support with no resolution. I was promised they will investigate my issue and get back to me. At this point I am doubtful I will hear back. My Chime is updated to 1.3.3. When I try to update my tone it tells me “Update Settings - Your Chime is updating, please wait a moment” I press ok and it eventually gives me the error message “Something went Wrong - Sorry about that! Please try again in a moment”. What is the solution here. Very fustrating. I choose Ring for their reputation and quality. If there is something wrong with software Lets hear it. Anyhow, any help will be appreciated.

@LJOnesto I was hoping to get a more exact update by the end of the day yesterday, but there is still not one at this time. It looks as though they are still investigating this and trying to work out a resolution still. I’ll make sure to provide valuable updates when I do have them! I too are having the same problems. I logged a call with support last week, but they never mentioned this was an exisiting problem. I have been trauling the net to see if there is a solution and came across this thread, amazing nothing has been done yet! this is obviously a common problem. When I told support that I had tried resetting everything they said they would look into it. I was surprised that there is no case number to reference this as I suspect this will just drag on.

Please advise as soon as a solution becomes available.

Hey neighbors! I have just gotten word that this should be resolved as of now. If you could, please attempt to change your Chime tone in the app and let me know if it updates or not. You may have to test an event like ringing your Doorbell in order to test if it was saved properly. If you continue to have a concern with the Chime not updating the sound, please reach out to our support team here for further troubleshooting. :smiley_cat:
