I installed a Yale YRD156 PRO. It has Z wave built in. Ring app can operate it but each time it looks or unlocks it also records and error in the device history. It also does not indicate when a lock is manually locked or unlocked. I have a Yale YRD256 that works fine. The YRD156 is basically the same but does not work the same. Any thoughts?
I don’t have any answers, but wanted to follow up that I have exactly same experience with the YRD136 ProSL (pushbutton model) as of Oct 2023.
At least this lock does get exposed to Homekit with the Ring Homebridge plugin, so I can include it in automations, ie. I have it autolock on my goodnight scene, or any time I arm in away mode. These automations continue to work as expected even though Ring doesn’t recognize manual lock state. With all that, I’m happy enough with this lock attached to my Ring system, but still wish Ring fully supported it.
