Turn off the red dot in Ring app that forces us to click on Ring/Amazon new products

The red dot in the upper right hand corner the Ring app (Android) used to be for new features. However, Ring/Amazon has now added new products. So currently, you have to click on each and every single one of the ~20 new Ring/Amazon products that takes you automatically (without your knowledge/permission) to the Amazon app listing of the new product. This is the ONLY way to get rid of the red dot.

Also, if you re-install the Ring app because it has (again) become unstable, the red dot counter will re-set, and you will have to click on 20+ Ring/Amazon marketing pitches all over again…

Hey neighbor! If your New Features notifications won’t go away, you can can manually clear it in the Ring app. Tap on What’s New and then tap the icon with a check mark in it on the top right. If you’re running iOS, you can find more information on how to do this and troubleshoot notification issues on iOS here. If you’re running Android, you can find more information on how to do this and troubleshoot notification issues on Android here.
