Transformer information

I have installed a wired ring door bell. The transformer we had wasn’t strong enough to run the doorbell so we replaced it with a Benson model BS-840 (24V 40VA) now we are getting a warning under device health that the voltage is at 37V and that is too much. The transformer we bought said it was compatible with all ring door bells…do we need to buy a 16 V or can I ignore the warning….help please!

Hi @user1046. As stated on this page here for the Doorbell Wired, a 10-24V transformer is recommended. I suggest switching to a transformer that does not put out above 24V. This transformer here will work.
