Hi everybody. I would be extremely grateful for your advice: Would the reason for my wired doorbell not working be because the transformer in our doorbell is only 6V? Therefore if I buy a new doorbell with a larger output transformer it should work?

The Byron 776 is pretty much a drop in replacement and will do the job - 6v is too low.
