The video is not available. A Ring plan or trial was not active when this event took place

On an outdoor Ring stickup camera that worked fine for several months, now getting this error message:

“The video is not available. A Ring plan or trial was not active when this event took place.”

roughly 10% of the time. My Ring plan is definitely active. This is observed viewing events from the ring.com dashboard.

The other 90% of the time when I can view the camera events, they randomly drop several seconds of video in the middle of a clip, and the resolution appears to drop to something hardly usable.

I have tried without success to reach Ring support via Chat and phone.

Disappointing.

I had this happen to me last week and after a few days it went away. Seems like Ring was having issues so maybe they haven’t fixed your account yet.
You might try waiting a short time, and if that still doesn’t get it working you’ll have to reach out to Ring Support as no one in these forums has access to your account information.
