Please read these rules before entering the Ring Community Anniversary Contest 2021. You agree that, by submitting an entry, you will be bound by these Official Rules and you acknowledge that you satisfy all contest eligibility requirements.
Eligibility. If you are an individual legal resident of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia and at least 18 years of age at the time of entry, you are eligible to enter the Ring Community Anniversary Contest 2021. The Ring Community Anniversary Contest 2021 is not open to employees or independent contractors, or immediate family members (spouses, domestic partners, parents, grandparents, siblings, children, and grandchildren) or those living in the same household of employees or independent contractors of Ring LLC (“Sponsor, “we”, or “us”) and its respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, advisors, or advertising/promotion agencies (collectively, the “The Ring Community Anniversary Contest 2021 Entities”).
Ring Community Anniversary Contest 2021 Period. Begins at 12:01 am Pacific Time (“PT”) on 03/04/2021 and ends at 11:59 pm PT on 03/31/2021 (the “Ring Community Anniversary Contest 2021 Period”).
How to Enter. To enter, during the Ring Community Anniversary Contest 2021, enter and participate in the thread that the Ring Community will be hosting by visiting www.community.ring.comand reply in the thread we post the contest in with a post that includes a full haiku. The thread will be found at:https://community.ring.com/c/welcome-to-the-ring-community/ring-updates/13.Write a poem that’s 3 lines long and make sure each line has the right number of syllables. Give the first line 5 syllables, the second line 7 syllables, and the third line 5 syllables. Once you have your haiku ready to go, make a reply with your haiku to this post. Winner will be chosen at random so any haiku that is considered a haiku by definition can be entered to win the grand prize. One neighbor will be chosen at random to win our grand prize of a Ring Stick Up Cam Plug-In. To participate, you must still create a reply with a valid haiku.
By submitting an entry, you agree that any information you provide in connection with your entry and any other information provided by you or collected by Sponsor in connection with the contest may be used by Sponsor in accordance with Sponsor’s Privacy Policy and may be shared with Contest Entities. All information submitted to Sponsor as part of an entry becomes the property of the Sponsor. Sponsor expressly reserves the right to disqualify any entries that it believes in good faith are generated by an automated means or scripts. Entries generated by script, macro or other automated means and illegible and incomplete entries are void.
Limit one (1) entry per person throughout the Ring Community Anniversary Contest 2021 period. To be eligible for the Contest drawing, we must receive all eligible entries via reply by at 11:59 pm PT on 03/31/2021. You may not use multiple e-mail addresses or Community user names to enter the contest, and entries submitted through multiple e-mail or Community user names addresses will be disqualified.
Other Promotions. Please note that we may be running similar contest at the same time as this contest. By entering this Ring Community Anniversary Contest 2021, you will not be eligible to receive any prize awarded in any other contest unless you enter each contest separately.
Prize. 1 grand prize winner will be selected at random and will receive (1) Ring Stick Up Cam Plug-In.
Prize Conditions. Prizes will be fulfilled by Sponsor. If you are selected as the potential winner, Sponsor will use the information you submit in connection with this Contest to fulfill the prize.
Prize Winners. The grand prize winner will be selected at random. The winner must have a valid haiku and have submitted it within the allotted time frame. We will no longer accept any submissions after the cut-off time as valid. We will notify the potential prize winner by e-mail or phone within five (5) business days following the cut-off time and announcement of the winner. We will select an alternative potential winner if a potential winner does not respond within 72 hours, or meet the eligibility criteria. The prizes will be awarded “AS IS” and WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, express or implied (including, without limitation, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose).
Odds of Winning. 1 winner will be announced out of however many users participate. 1 grand prize winner.
Additional Terms. We may, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law and in our sole discretion, change these rules or cancel the Ring Community Anniversary Contest 2021 at any time; or modify, terminate, or suspend the Contest should viruses, worms, bugs, unauthorized human intervention or other causes beyond our control corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Contest or submission of entries. We are not responsible for: (a) lost, misdirected, late, incomplete, or unintelligible entries or for inaccurate entry information, whether caused by you or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest, or by any technical or human error that may occur in the processing of entries; (b) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Contest; (c) any error in the operation or transmission, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries, or for technical, network, telephone, computer, hardware or software, malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of, or failure to receive any entry information on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website; or (d) injury or damage to your or any other computer resulting from downloading any materials in connection with the Contest. We may, in our sole discretion, disqualify any individual found to be: (x) tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or website; (y) acting in violation of these rules; or (z) acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. If your entry is incomplete or if you use robotic, automatic, programmed or similar entry methods, your entry will be void. The authorized subscriber of the e-mail address associated with any account used to enter the Contest at the actual time of entry will be deemed to be the participant and must comply with these rules in the event of a dispute as to entries submitted by multiple users having the same e-mail address. The authorized account subscriber is the natural person who is assigned an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domains associated with the submitted e-mail addresses. No greater than the one prize stated in these Official Rules will be awarded. If any technical errors occur in the selection of a potential winner or if more prizes are claimed than the number of prizes being awarded as provided in these Official Rules, we may award the prize by random drawing from among all eligible claimants.
Miscellaneous. The Contest is governed by the laws of the United States. The Contest and all accompanying materials are © 2018 by Ring LLC and its affiliates. All rights reserved. If you win a prize, you may not transfer, assign, or redeem the prize for cash. We may substitute a prize with a prize of equal or greater value. Winner agrees (for himself or herself and his or her heirs) that, by accepting the prize, Contest Entities will have no liability, and will be held harmless by the winner for any liability, loss, injury or damage to property or person, including death, and reasonable attorney’s fees and court costs, due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, by reason of the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prize or participation in the Contest, even if caused or contributed to by the negligence of any of the Contest Entities. You agree that our decisions related to the Ring Community Anniversary Contest 2021 and all drawings are final. Winner agrees that, by participating in the Contest, we may use the winner’s name, image or likeness in any manner and in any medium for our promotional purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.
Ring Community Anniversary Contest 2021 is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Lithium or Twitter.
Winner’s List. After we confirm the winners, we will email you the names of the winners as well as make a public post in the Ring Community.
