It would be a nice feature if an unwelcome person stand by the front door but doesn’t ring the bell a recording plays that says “ you have five seconds to ring the bell because we have detected your presence and a call will be placed to the authorities and they will be here shortly “. Similar to the recording ADT has on its alarm.
This would be an enhancement to the ring doorbell that would stop people from just looking in the windows and not actually ringing the bell.
I would suspect that if someone came to my porch they should be there to ring the bell if they don’t something needs to be done to move them from the porch.
