Stick up cam not detecting wildlife

We installed a solar stick up cam at a mountain cabin, primarily to view the weather and wildlife while away. We have set Motion Sensitivity to “Max” and People Only Mode to “Off”, however, we have not been able to detect any wildlife. We generally have quite a few deer and the occasional moose. Advanced Motion Detection is “on”.

We do capture people and vehicles, which are rare on the property this time of year. I’m looking for insights on if there are any additional settings I can adjust to maximize our chances of capturing wildlife.

Hi @bxbecr. There are no specific settings designed to increase the chances of your Ring device capturing wildlife over other types of motion. It’s possible the wildlife is not getting within range of the Camera in order for it to detect motion. Since the Camera is successfully picking up other sources of motion such as cars and people, this indicates that it is working properly.
