I have two wired stick up cameras, I’m using a mobile data package as not currently got broadband and the cameras are eating data!
Is it possible to switch off the cameras for certain times of the day/week to help me reduce data usage?
Could anyone help with how mobile data is used, is it used every time I get a notification, is it when I view the notifications, does it use mobile data whilst sending the motion?

Data usage is often dependent on usage with your Ring app. The best step will be to limit the number of Live Views being triggered from the Ring app, as well as limit the motion events you answer and length of time video is being live streamed. Check data usage after attempting this.
Please also ensure there is not a VPN enabled on your mobile device, and if you are using android, check for any android apps that conflict with the Ring app. I recommend also trying out the Rapid Ring app to see if this makes a difference.
