Spotlight cam battery door won’t stay closed

Hey neighbors! At this time, if your Spotlight Camera will not report the battery hatch as closed, please attempt the following:

  • Ensure there is no debris in the battery hatch and that the hatch is closed fully. It will make a clicking sound once lock and closed fully.
  • Press and hold the setup button on the Camera for 20 seconds to reset the device, then reconnect your Ring device.

I figured out a the trick to make the door close securely. It takes two hands:

Put your thumbs on each side of blinky globe light.

Put your fingers on the top, by the mount.

Squeeze both hands at the same time to apply even pressure through your thumbs.

The door will click shut (for real) and stay closed.

Same problem in the UK, battery door will not latch shut, no click nothing, have to tape it shut< any solution from RING yet?

Hi there everybody, same problem here. Whatever I try nothing works. Very annoying! Where is the service that Ring gave when it just existed. The sell out to Amazon was the baddest choice the owner could make. Except for his own wallet. Now everyone is stuck with the bad service of Amazon…
