It is very frustrating that Ring always seems to be out of stock for their Spare Parts Kits. Even though they keep pumping out the products themselves, so it seems highly unlikely that parts would be unavailable. Online I could find a few malicious websites that peddle in Ring Spare Parts for highly inflated prices, with a high probability that you will never see any spare parts (or your money) back again. Please Ring, I’m not the first one to raise this issue. You’ve already lost my subscription and any chance I’ll buy a Ring product again if this is how you do business.
Sorry to hear about this, @McL, and thank you for the feedback on this experience! While there are times when something may be out of stock on Ring.com, this should not remain this way for long. Depending on the part needed, you may be able to replace it at your local hardware store. Some parts can only be obtained through us, and if this is the case our support team could be further assistance with identifying or helping you obtain what is needed.
Please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available here. We’re taking additional steps to protect our team and help reduce the spread of COVID-19, so this has resulted in longer than normal wait times. If you are outside of the US, please read our response to COVID-19 here to see how to contact support. Feel free to also check back at Ring.com for availability.
I contacted support as per your instruction. Their response was that parts weren’t in stock due to “The global shortage of shipping containers”. But shouldn’t that mean that ALL Ring products should be low on stock?
All the parts I need are proprietary, so going to my “local hardware store” won’t solve the problem.
You also say that the Out of Stock situation “should not remain this way for long.” I’ve been looking almost daily for the past 2 months… But maybe that’s not long enough…
