Ring Video Doorbell 2 flare/glare at night

I just installed my RVD2 yesterday. It looks great during the day, but it has a really bad flare/glare at night making it hard to see anyone unless they’re right in front of the doorbell. This might be from having to mount it right next to the doorframe which sticks out from the wall. I read that you should use a wedge kit in this case. However, I don’t need to angle the doorbell in any specific direction because the angle is fine. Is there any way to mount it so that it’s raised higher than the doorframe? Example: 2 wedge pieces to create a flat surface instead of an angled surface?

The attached picture shows the flare/glare.
Note: The black on the left is the mailbox & the white on the right is the doorframe.
