I started having this problem today where pressing the button on my Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Gen) doesn’t alert my phone or cause my Echo Dots to alert either, other than the blue spinning light around the button and the ring jingle when the button is pressed. This has happened three times today now, one time the button was pressed twice with at least 45 seconds in between presses. I’m unsure as to what could be causing this.
Hey @Diandi. Could you try resetting the device and reconnecting it to see if this helps? To reset the device you will press and hold the setup button for 20 seconds, and then go into the Device Health section under Main Menu > Devices > Doorbell > Device Health and tap on reconnect or change wifi network. This will walk you through another setup of your device, and then from there, ensure you have Ring Alerts turned on, and even unlink/relink the Ring skill in your Amazon Alexa app. Let me know how this goes!
