Ring doorbell 2 hardwired battery

I have a Ring doorbell 2 that is hardwired. Within the last few days, I get motion alerts but can’t view them, live view doesn’t connect and the battery is not charging. I have logged out of the app and it continues. I changed the battery at 9am this morning and 12hrs later the battery is to 90%. The low temperature has been 45 at night but not low enough to cause an issue. After the battery change, I am now seeing the video after a motion alert but still losing battery power. Could this be an app issue and the battery isn’t losing power at all? It seems the issues started after the last app update.
