My light won’t even come on to pulse slow after a power reset in my house, I’ve tried everything in all the guides, tired it it! The light went off once before and I got it to work but after 4 hours today, I give up
Any advice what to do if the light on the front of the chime pro won’t come on after routermpower went off, I’ve tried all the resetting and disconnecting and still nothing

I’ve tried numerous times to get my Ring Chime to hook up with the app, nothing works. Guess I have to return it. I’m frustrated beyond my ability to endure this anymore.
so the location service in the app resolved the issue - but I have no idea why. And when my phone is away why will this work?
I assume that is with Android? If so its an Android thing:
Not sure why they decided that though. Its bloody annoying (I’ve had the same issue with the “My Vauxhall” app)
Hi, neighbors! As previously mentioned in this thread, resetting the Chime by holding the setup button for 20 seconds may help. Completing setup with the Chime plugged in near the router is best for initial connection. Removing and reinstalling the Ring app is always a great step to try as well.
If the above steps did not work, and as other neighbors have shared in this thread, please ensure location settings or location services are enabled for the Ring app. If this does not work, or you are needing additional assistance with this, please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available here. Greetings all,
I have installed my first ring doorbell and like most came stuck at installing the chime, having tried everything possible I found a last hope solution which was to create a hotspot through my mobile and installed the chime though this connection via my iPad. Having successfully installed and firmware updated I switched it to the house WiFi with no further issues.
Hope this helps
