Ring Chime Chime Pro connected but no sound and app alerts not working

All of a sudden my Ring Chime Pro has stopped working.

The notification on my phone has stopped too.

When I press the doorbell outside it works there.

The Ring Chime is powered up and the blue light is glowing.

In the Ring app settings, the signal strength is good and it’s connected to the same wi-fi as the doorbell.

The device health for the Ring Door bell and the Ring Chime Pro are both healthy.

Any tips on getting this to work again?

Hi @Shell! The best first step here will be to remove and reinstall the Ring app on your mobile device. This will ensure the app is up to date and optimally integrated with your mobile device. Next, please check on alerts settings within the Ring app, including motion alert toggles, scheduling and other alert preferences.

I recommend double checking the assigned chime tones for your Chime. Check out this help center article for instructions on changing these chime tones. I hope this helps! :slight_smile:

I was going to re-install but then saw there was an update. I ran the update on my phone and it has now fixed the chime and also my partners phone. Thanks for your help.

I have same problem
Chime connected to wifi and online in application
But chime not reacted to alarms and doesn’t play sound tests from the application. When I try change sound its show message that it can’t apply configuration

Hi there, @Ceziy! Do your other Ring devices (Doorbell, Camera) operate as intended and allow you to play live view? This will be a great way to show the network is communicating these actions properly. As long as the Chime is online, and completed with any initial updates from the first time setup, a test alert tone should certainly be heard from the Chime. While you are in the Ring app Chime alert tones section, please also ensure the Chime volume slider is increased. I recommend also checking that any VPN is disabled on your mobile device, when attempting to use the Ring app or change these settings. Feel free to let us know how this goes! :slight_smile:

doorbell work properly and notify about rings, motions and live view works like a charm. I tried test sound Chime with wi-fi and 4G mobile enternet and result the same. I tried change volume and it doesn’t help
