Ring App in my new mobile cannot connect to Doorbell nor Stickup Cam

Hi all

I have recently switched to a new mobile phone but the Ring App cannot connect to the Doorbell nor Stickup Cam to activate Live View. The error message is ‘Failed to connect’ but it seems that the other functions are all OK.

I have checked and I’m very sure my new mobile, the Ring devices are all connected to my same home WiFi. I’m also sure that this doesn’t relate to any broadband speed problem. It is also strange that the Ring App works properly in my old mobile and can activate the Live View for both devices.

Any clue to fix is much appreciated.

Testing wifi only or cellular data only connections is a great step for checking connection differences. Please also ensure there is not a VPN enabled on your mobile device. If you are using android, check for any android apps that conflict with the Ring app. :slight_smile:
