When I activate a product in the app, is it automatically registered with Ring or is there another step?

Once you receive your Ring device and create a Ring account to successfully log into the Ring app, you will need to complete a setup for your Ring device to start working as intended. Following each step in the Ring app and successfully completing the setup process will result in the Ring device connecting your network and the Ring app.
For the most part, this should be all that is required for you to begin using your Ring device. Please ensure the network connection is sufficient and allow a few moments after setup for updates to complete. If you have an Alarm system, there can be more steps needed such as registration, monitoring, and more. Of course, these steps would also be covered in the Ring app. I hope this helps!
