Bought 2 stick up cameras battery and it’s like they are going int sleep mode if nothing activates it In a while it won’t work
Hey there, @Amanda84. Our devices do not feature a sleep or dormant mode as a result of inactivity. As long as power/ battery and network connection is sufficient, your Ring device shall operate as intended. Video connection concerns are often related to wifi, mobile device, or Ring app communication variables. The best first thing to check is your wifi signal strength, or RSSI, which can be found in the Device Health section of your Ring app. Check out our Community post about RSSI for tips on optimizing this signal strength.
Removing and reinstalling the Ring app is a quick way to ensure it is up to date and optimally integrated with your mobile device. On your mobile device, try testing video on wifi only, and then on mobile data only, to see if either connection is more efficient. Feel free to let us know how this goes.
Have the same problem with the stick up cam. Have verified signal strength and reinstalled app multiple times. Only thing that works is popping the battery out and replacing it which resets it. Ring doorbells (2+3) both work with no problems. If unable to get working will be returning product.
Sorry to hear these steps did not work for you, @ma4w. If power cycling the device is the only procedure that helps with your live view, this may require a closer look.
