Very frustrated with this. I’d send the myQ thing back if I hadn’t already installed it. I bought it because it was listed as works with Ring, but clearly that was marketing lies. Having it on my wife’s ring app on her phone was the whole reason we bought this and now found out that we can’t do that because ring or myq or whoever arbitrarily decided not to be able to link them.

I came upon this thread because I am having the exact same issue. However, digging into this further, I have a separate but related question: As the account owner with Ring and myQ linked, what value is there in actually doing so?
I thought that by linking, I would be able to open and close the door directly from the Ring app. However, unless I am looking in the wrong place, when I select the garage door within the Ring app, all it does is launch the myQ app to then close the door. What good is that?
