Motion sensor triggering alarm, but no motion detected

My system has a motion sensor in the dining room which is somehow triggering the alarm. I am getting a message that the motion sensor has triggered the alarm. However the event log for the motion sensor does not show motion. The house is empty and nothing is moving.

What could cause the alarm to trigger, apparently because of the motion sensor, but no motion is being detected? Is it possible that the system is loosing communication to the sensor and triggering?

Hey @willib! Depending on device placement settings, a sensor or motion detector could trigger your Alarm right away. For instance, a Contact Sensor set as a window will result in an immediate siren, whereas setting it as a door will not.
