Motion alert not working

I have just purchased and set up a security camera. I have gone through everything and it is recording when I go to the live feed. However, the alerts do not come through, despite there being movement (alerts are turned on). Any suggestions please?

Hi @user51273. If you are not receiving Motion Alerts from your Camera, try the following additional steps:

  • Make sure you do not have a Live View open when testing Motion Alerts. The Camera will not detect motion when a Live View is open since the Camera is already activated.

  • Check your phone’s permissions to make sure Ring notifications are allowed.

  • Disable any active VPNs on your phone.
