It’s very unusual to me that there is presently no feature to deliver notifications of missed doorbell ring alerts.
Firstly, the notifications are only sent to the app on mobile or personal device, and cannot be delivered anywhere else (other systems, integrations, etc). This is especially challenging for users logged into a different “primary“ Ring account. More than one user/destinations should be able to receive notifications. Why not, at minimum, allow email notification of missed ring video doorbell calls? A bonus to include a screenshot and direct link to the video recording.
Beyond this, how does a doorbell press only offer [Amazon Alexa] as a voicemail response? Why can’t we record our own missed doorbell alert recording, to essentially “take a message”? Extra helpful for getting visitors to leave the information we are looking for (name, contact info, purpose). At least then we could get back to them or know who we missed seeing.
Finally, alert notifications are less critical if the ring systems (doorbells, security, etc) would connect with other major smart application providers (like Zapier). Really interested in building more around ring surveillance and security; if only we could get reasonably notified…
