Mailbox Sensor will not install

I just received my mailbox sensor and when trying to install it, the ring app is giving me an error: “Scan the QR code on your Ring. You may have scanned a different device.”

Just to be sure I’ve tried scanning the QR cde on the box, the device, and the instruction sheet, with the same results.

I went through the “Add a device” steps and chose the mailbox sensor. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but still no luck.

Any tips?

Hey there, @rachelquick! The first step I would have suggested is removing and reinstalling the Ring app, but you’ve got that covered. Good call on trying that out. If possible, see if this setup step might scan successfully on another mobile device entirely. It is okay to complete a setup on another mobile device, as the Ring app and Ring account will reflect the device when you sign back in on the desired mobile device.
