LiveView activation problem

Hi,

I’ve just set up a Ring Doorbell, everything appears to work ok but I can not activate the live view.

The problem I believe is something to do with the internet connection being on a 4g router, though I was able to test and get live view if I set up the doorbell tethered through my phone.

I have tried opening ports, and even put the doorbell in its own DMZ, but nothing seems to work.

I have tried disabling cellular data and just doing this on wifi but still no success.

Hey @pd6820! We recommend connecting our Doorbells to a 2.4 ghz wifi network, using a standard up to date router, to ensure optimal and reliable connection. A router that is outputting cellular signal may present additional variables from equipment and settings, to towers and providers.

Checking signal strength (RSSI) in the app as well as testing the network speeds might also help to see if connection is optimal for Live View. Let me know if this works! :slight_smile:
