One thing I’ve noticed since having the door alarm is that it pings and dings every time I take out the bins, walk the dog, come and go from work and although it’s reassuring to know it is working. It would be good if my doorbell knew it was me approaching through the use of bluetooth.
By it recognising the my device then it would stop notifications to my phone. This would be slightly problematic in the sense that your doorbell may notice motion prior to Bluetooth connectivity. However, it could be set in the app that if this feature was active then a 5 second delay may ensue (allowing the person to get closer to the alarm, and if your device is recognised then it would tell the doorbell not to notify you about the motion)
The ring doorbell would still record as normal any motion but stop all the harmless motion by household users
