Hi,

I just had the doorbell pro three install tonight and it works great. I remove the battery to charge it. The only thing is the doorbell inside our kitchen does not ring when I push the button. I’m not sure if I need to do something different or if there’s a way to troubleshoot while that’s happening. The personal install it for me as a friend who has the pro. Is there any troubleshooting steps I can take to find out why it’s not working without the battery? I have reached out to my friend and asked if his works when he takes the battery out and he said his doorbell inside the house rings when the battery is removed for charging. I’m not sure where else to go or where else to check.

Hi @Veets. The battery is required for the doorbell to operate. If the battery is not in the device, it will not ring, even though it is hardwired. The hardwiring only serves as a trickle charge, and not a direct power source. I hope this helps.
