Doorbell will not enter set up mode despite following all instructions- WiFi has changed, battery charged
When entering setup mode, there will usually be a light blinking or an audible “your Ring device is in setup mode”, depending on model. Try going through a setup in the Ring app to see if your Ring device will allow you to continue through the steps.
If setup steps are not completing this can indeed mean the device is not in setup mode. Try resetting your Ring device by holding the setup button for 20 seconds. Once this step is complete, please reconnect your Ring device by following the steps in this Help Center article. I hope this helps!
