As a new doorbell owner, this outage has shown me a disappointing downside to the system if it falls over, there is no local backup. I had presumed that as the doorbell was connected via the router, you would still be able to view the camera via wifi, (similar to an ip camera stream) even if the recording facility was unavailable. The chime still works, but it is in the hall and can’t be heard, which is why we bought this one. Hopefully the problem will be found soon and I can work on getting my confidence in the system up and running.
