Since I recharged the battery on our Ring Doorbell it’s not working properly.
There is a noticeable delay between motion detection and / or the doorbell button being pressed to when a notification makes it through to either of the phones connected to the doorbell.
The today, when I entered our home the ring doorbell didn’t even detect any motion!
But then when I went back out to see if it was working it the motion was detected, albeit, the motion notification was still slow to alert on my phone.
Any ideas?!?! The RingDoorbell is connected two iPhones. Could it be that the iOS Ring Doorbell app needs updating or that it’s been updated and there is a bug in the software update?
Hi @BigLittleReid. Have you checked the RSSI on the Doorbell? If the RSSI is on the higher end, this can contribute to delays in motion detection and recording. You can read more about RSSI in our Community Post here. If the RSSI looks good, then I’d suggest performing a quick reset on the Doorbell and setting it back up in the Ring App. To reset the Doorbell, hold the setup button down for at least 20 seconds. After that, follow the steps under Set Up a Device to get it reconnected to your wifi.
