The contact sensors for doors and windows have options for Chirp On or Chirp Off. The Ring slider controls that are intended to set whether the sensor chirps or not is nonfunctional. Nothing happens. It’s a bug.
Toggling the Chirps on or off in the Ring app should result in this preference being saved going forward. Here is our Help Center article for using Chirps, and while the document is specific to Flood/ Freeze, it will generally be the same steps. If the setting change is not saving, please ensure there is no VPN enabled and that your mobile device connection is optimal. If possible, try doing this on another mobile device entirely, to rule out many variables.

Thank you for your thoughtful and kind reply. The contact device chirp settings are not functioning, have never functioned, and are broken software. Thanks. I will try, again, to contact support on the phone but the phone support staff do not know anything.
