Chime Pro v2 require additional ring plan to connect?

I have a wired doorbell pro connected to a ring plan ($30.00 annually). I want to add either 1 or 2 chime pro v2’s around my house so that I don’t need to carry my Android to hear any motion alerts. Do the chime pros require my expanding the ring plan OR not? Ring Reps can you respond here. Having to pay for a chime pro “plan” doesn’t see reasonable to me but either way I need find out to determine if I am going to order these.

Hi @BH2613. You don’t need to upgrade your Ring Protect plan if you’re just adding Chime Pros, as there are no videos to be saved with the Chime Pros. The main benefit of the Ring Protect Plus plan that would apply to the Chime Pro is the extended warranty, which you can read more about here. You can remain on your Ring Protect Basic plan and it won’t affect anything. I hope this information helps. :slight_smile:
