What do I do if I forget my login or password?
The advice offered is :
To get help with your password:
Click Need help with your login name or password? at the bottom of the page.
Enter the email address you used when you registered with the community.
Click Reset Password.
Check your email for your login name and a password reset link.
The reset password link provided in the email rec’d does not point to the subdomain community.ring.com - which by-the-way - provides the log-in URL:
https://oauth.ring.com/oauth/users/sign_in
when signing in to the Community Forum
Instead - the link provided in the password reset email rec’d points to :
https://email.ring.com/e/c/long-string-of-seemingly-random-characters - which appears as though it might reset the password used by your ring account - the account that controls your ring device[s] through the ring app.
I am reluctant to use that link to attempt to change my password for the Ring Community using the link provided - I don’t want to change the password for the master account for my device[s].
Has anyone attempted to change the password for their Community sign-in?
