I found an excellent solution provided by u/anonrod in the r/Ring forum of Reddit.com entitled
“Easy way to add any loud siren to the alarm system”. This works very well for me.

I’m in total agreement – one that doesn’t involve the alarm system, but can be activated through the Ring app. As a workaround, I rigged a loud 12VDC piezo alarm siren that works with a smart plug and outlet adapter. This allows me to remotely activate the siren alarm based on what I see through my Ring security cameras. The only problem is that I need to jump over to another app to activate the smart plug switch. Yes, Ring needs a “stand alone” outdoor siren!

I’ve been asking for this for two years now… Why hasn’t it been done yet?
I’ve made this suggestion in the past and it seems as many others are wanting the same feature added. Can Ring-Team please look into making this feature available. We’re wanting our external cameras sirens to sound once the ring security system is activated. It would provide more protection to us. Allow our neighbors to hear that someone is trying to break into our home. To my knowledge Ring doesn’t offer an external siren. Yes the interior siren can maybe stop someone from proceeding with a B&E, but that’d mean there were already in our home. If we have it that the exterior cameras sirens are activated. It would hopefully stop someone from even thinking of stepping
Foot into our homes and would get more attention from our neighbors, and be even more of a deterrent to criminals. Please as many others have asked look into this as a feature update. We’d all appreciate it! We love our ring products and that you all are willing to hear our suggestions.

Agreed. The internal alarm is not loud enough for anyone external to the house to hear and can easily be disabled. I am impressed by many aspects of this integrated security system, but not having an external siren is a major gap. At least link it to the external floodlight. Thanks.

Yes this is a great idea and also it would be nice to increase the volume on external outside cameras to make siren as loud as the alarm base in the home. Maybe WiFi alarm extenders with loud sirens that are tripped when main base alarm is triggered ?
I don’t want to “hijack” the idea of a Stand Alone Alarm as proposed – this is an idea I fully support. However, looking at related threads, there appears to be differing thoughts on what is considered “loud”, “stand alone”, “outdoor”, etc. As a compromise approach, I offered a related hardware/software proposal that might afford Users more customizable options (separate thread):

@Boone @F1N1 As always, thank you both for these callouts! I’ve merged together the feature requests in question to this master request. 
This is surely the entire point of being able to enhance your ring of security by linking devices together. Ring has the linked devices feature so that devices can work together, but not the ability to link an alarm event to a lights siren. Such an omission is nothing short of astonishing. Come on Ring - get your act together and deliver this simple integration, or explain why you can’t.
I find it funny how Ring even sells a panic button accessory yet the system has no capability to link to exterior cameras. This feature is a must.

Please enable ring alarm to activate if selected cameras detect motion. I have cameras in my house and don’t want to have a camera and motion sensor in the same room or hallway. As I have cameras using the indoor cameras motion sensor would be a great help
